Combining her love of musical theatre with the warmth of familiar jazz standards, Kamilah folds two decades of singing for her supper into one amazingly funny, poignant, soulful show. Her style is a fusion of country, blues, and funk, with a spirit reminiscent of Roberta Flack and a sound that is all her own. Recently seen and heard as support for seven-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, Kamilah was also one of the Staggering Harlettes singing backup for Bette Midler in the Kiss My Brass world tour and The Showgirl Must Go On at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Her Broadway credits include RENT, Disney’s The Lion King, and the original cast of Hairspray.
